ABOUT

Tripod

You never know how you’ll react till you’re confronted with a life-or-death decision. For two teenage boys innocently walking to summer camp on a clear, sun-shiny morning, they acted swiftly with courage and conviction to save the life of a badly injured dog.

The quick thinking of Joey and Asher set off a chain of extraordinary events that united the community – from Dr. Egger and his staff to the kids and counselors at Happy Days Camp – as everyone rallied around the rescue and healing of this dog, which they aptly named Tripod.

Even more remarkable is this tale is inspired by a true story. This community showed the same limitless compassion to Tripod’s survival and care that every dog gives back unconditionally. This book is a feel-good, must-read that highlights the inventiveness of teenagers and illustrates the positive energy that is generated from meaningful collaboration toward a good cause. This story is an adventure of how a community came together to deliver kindness, caring and love.

“I’m hopeful the lessons of Tripod and his loving supporters will pass on through this story and continue to spread. It takes just a little effort to care enough to be kind, and to be kind enough to show love.”
